                                                 Aswathi John
I’m Aswathi John and I’m a freshman in the Biomedical Engineering Department, Drexel University. I joined Biomedical Engineering out of my interest in Biology and eventually hope to join Medical School. Now a bit about myself, I’m a South Indian born and brought up in the Kingdom of Bahrain which is also called the island of pearls. I came here after my high school just last year and currently reside in Huntingdon Valley which is the northern suburbs of Philadelphia. My hobbies include dancing and reading, but now with a new interest in programming.

Cassandra Tu
I’m Cassandra Tu but I like to be called Cassy and I am from Lancaster, PA.  I am a freshman majoring in Biomedical Engineering at Drexel University and I hope to either concentrate in biomechanics or tissue engineering. I first became interested in biomedical engineering because of my family since most of my family members work in the medical field. I have also always liked learning mathematics and biology in grade school. Eventually, I would like to go to medical school to become a doctor specializing in pediatrics. During my free time I like to write music, read, sketch,
or play my electric violin.

                                                                 Chrissy Gieder
I'm Chrissy Gieder, a sophomore in the undergraduate biomedical engineering program at Drexel University. My intended concentration is neuroengineering and my interests include psychology, the study of ethics, medicine and neuroscience. I'm from a small suburb just outside of the Philadelphia International Airport and I plan on pursuing my professional studies at the doctoral level after I graduate. In my spare time I enjoy drawing still lifes, spending time with my family and close friends, and partipating in local service projects through Drexel University's Hunger and Homelessness
Prevention Coalition.

                                                                  Marina Louis
I'm Marina Louis, a freshman in the undergraduate Biomedical Engineering program at Drexel University. I have a great interest in research and that is what drove me 5688 miles away from my hometown; Alexandria, Egypt. My research interests are in computational chemistry and tissue engineering. Currently, I'm a part of a research lab that investigates hormone receptor selectivity of Progesterone and Androgen receptors using computational studies and modelling. Apart from research, I now have a new interest in programming.

                                       Julia Nezhinsky
I’m Julia Nezhinsky, a freshman at Drexel University studying Biomedical Engineering. I am privileged to be surrounded by dedicated faculty and students. I have always been interested and excelled in mathematics and science courses, especially biology. Since I was a child, I displayed a curiosity towards the functionality and design of the things around me so this major would allow me to continue to accumulate knowledge and to fulfill my desire to accomplish challenging tasks. I hope my persistence, hard work and constant desire to learn will help achieve these tasks. My interests are also
reading, learning new languages and playing piano.
